When Significant Business Growth is Your Goal

A business owner told me recently he wants to grow and greatly expand his business but this past year with COVID restrictions has been very challenging in terms of meeting that goal.  He had to make a lot of difficult decisions.  He needed direction as to how to move forward and meet that goal efficiently and effectively. 

Our conversation was about how challenging times can bring new opportunities that are defined as change.  It might even mean totally changing his business with new products, new groups of customers, and new ways of doing business.  For example, a lot is done on Zoom now. 

The questions I asked him were:

• What opportunities are right in front of you now?
• What do you need to learn to be successful with these opportunities?
• What are you going to do about it? Are you going to sit back and let these opportunities slip by?

The businesses that succeed fastest are the ones that make decisions to change the quickest.  They measure their results, adapt their strategies to improve results, and keep moving forward to meet their goals and objectives.
